Belfuse

The Belfuse apartment building on the site of the old Bel Fuse factory is moving quite slowly. After a quick demolition of the old buildings, the site has around for the last several weeks. The most recent change has been the addition of a black plastic tarp over half the site.

Belfuse

The Belfuse, dormant for several weeks after the demolition of the site buildings, has bounced back with the installation of a few pipes in the ground:

The freshly graded lot looks like it could be a farm field ready for spring plantings; of course, the only thing being planted here is a new foundation.

Belfuse Breaks Ground

The Belfuse development, 50 or so units going in at the western edge of Paulus hook broke ground with the demolition of the old Belfuse industrial buildings on the site. Below, the corner of Essex and Van Vorst Street looking north east from the light rail tracks:
