77 Hudson Street Towers

77 Hudson is the double residential tower under construction on the waterfront.

Along Greene Street, the facade will not be a completely squared off box; the undulating facade is visible below:

The low rise office tower just east of 77 Hudson will probably allow for views above the 13th or 14th floor of the tower:

77 Hudson Street Reaches Surface

77 Hudson Street has spent the last few months playing in the dirt and laying sub grade foundations. This week the base of the tower has popped out of the ground. We're expecting the base to take a few weeks before the towers make a rapid ascent skyward.

77 Hudson Street on the Jersey City Waterfront will provide both luxury condominiums and rental apartments

Looking west towards the Paulus Hook area. The northeast corner of the property has the most activity so far.

Looking north, 101 Hudson Street, the mid-90's art deco office tower looms over the project.

The western side of 77 Hudson Street has been slower throughout the whole of the construction process. But looking at the renderings, its likely that the entirety of the base will need to be installed before either tower rises.

77 Hudson

This behemoth is slowing rising on Hudson Street. Rumors have been circulating that the building will be seeking a ten story extension which will include a hotel. With a building this size, the final height probably does not need to determined for quite a while.

77 Hudson

Not much more appears to have been done at 77 Hudson Street. We assume this is mostly because the pilings are being hammered into the ground, and thus no dramatic changes can be seen.

77 Hudson Street

At 500 feet or so, 77 Hudson street will soon be one of the tallest buildings in New Jersey, just a block away from 30 Hudson Street, the Goldman Sachs tower and Jersey's tallest. 77 Hudson was previously planned as an office tower not more than 30 or so stories. That plan was scrapped with the softening of the Jersey City office space market and the rise of apartment sale prices and rentals. While the project hasn't yet risen above street level, there are pilings in the ground as seen in this photo from the southwest corner:

Below, the northwest corner with Liberty Towers and Goldman Sachs behind the site.
