Hamilton Square

Retail spaces are taking shape along McWilliams Place.

Detailing around the base of the main tower.

Any idea what stores will go in those spaces?

No, although the developers have mentioned an interest in local businesses rather than national chains. However, given the current state, I imagine all bets are off ultimately.

We've been told a gym, wine shop, clothing boutique, pharmacy and bank.

Curious. There is a local pharmacy across the street from Hamilton Square at 9th and Erie. A clothing boutique and wine shop would be consistent with retailers in the developer's other projects.

I think what Hamilton Park needs is a children's shop that's like a bigger, slightly lower-end Duck Duck Goose (used clothing shop); a used clothing shop for adults; a secondhand furniture/housewares shop; and a pet supplies store.

I think the secret to succeeding in this economy is to help people with champagne tastes and beer budgets bridge the gap between what they want and what they can afford by helping them to buy nice used stuff.

Hamilton Park really needs a small market. Like a Sunac or a Khims in Williamsburg, I think people would pay the extra mark up for the convenience.
