Boutique Opens on Jersey Avenue, Others Close Up
A new boutique opened last month on Jersey Avenue at Fourth Street. Meanwhile, the short lived Gas Men's Clothing seems to have closed for good. Rumor has too that Imagine Atrium, the little gift shop that sold books, has a "For Rent" sign in the window.

The new boutique is on the corner of 4th and Jersey
Yes, yes it is. Just remember kids, haste makes waste.
Sadly, Imagine Atrium has sent customers on its mailing list a notice saying that it is closing.
When the store opened, it had an inventory that was surprisingly useful.
Online ordering is wonderful, but Amazon.com can't come to your house and give you a something to cheer up a sick child, or help you buy a last-minute gift for your mother-in-law.
But I think the owner ended up not having enough cash to reorder the types of products were selling reasonably well.
One problem is probably just that it's hard to keep a bookstore in business anywhere, but I think another problem maybe that the closing of the hardware store and the closing of Sweet Priscilla's killed foot traffic on that block for awhile.

Actually - just yesterday (2/27) Imagine Atrium sent a 2nd email, saying they had received so much encouragement to stay they're going to give another month of brainstorming on how to make it work. Everyone should go buy a book there!

So what type of boutique is this place? Clothing?
Public School seems to sell shirts, jackets, shoes, etc. that's sort of like what I think Daily Dose has and is aimed at guys who drink microbrewery beers in Soho but sort of wish they drank 40s on a stoop.
