Liberty Habor North

Liberty Harbor North in Jersey City

Liberty Harbor construction crews were on site Saturday morning continuing to plug away at the mammoth development. This summer, the developer note that new buildings in the development would not break ground for at least another year, but that the current projects would be seen to completion.

I walked through Liberty Harbor North last night. You can now walk from the Marin Boulevard light rail station along the street by the station (Canal??) and go from there into the LHN development without trespassing on a construction site. The big buildings close to the water look nice and look as if people are starting to live in them a little bit, and a lot of the brownstones closer to Grand are starting to look finished. Nearby, on the southwest corner of Grand and Marin, construction crews are starting to prepare the site for the building that's going up there. Equipment was parked there doing nothing much for awhile, but, on Friday evening, there were a lot of earth movers around.
