Trump 45% Sold

The Times reports that Tower 1 at Trump Plaza is about 45% sold, or 200 of 440 units. Trump himself has taken to the radio waves in recent weeks, hawking the units with his usual brusque manner.

Trump marketing also has in the past flown airplanes trailed by banners up and down the Hudson River; such sights are common to the Jersey Shore, but usually pushing beer specials and ladies' nights rather than condominiums.

A second tower and enlarged parking deck are planned for the site, but given the current conditions, is more likely delayed.

Half sold but 75% vacant! My apartment looks right onto the Trump "Tower" and it never appears that more than one apartment per 3-4 floors has any lights on, on average. This must be the effect of those "foreign investors" who don't actually live there. I can imagine it feels like the hotel in "The Shining" inside.

Last I heard is that it was 45% closed (doesn't mean moved in) but over 80% sold. Only one way to find out the right number - sales office!

Yah! Just a radio announcement and a couple of fliers has sold so good!
Maybe lower the astronomic prices and we'll see real people live in the Trump tower, instead of the dummies installed at the windows.
