The Embankment Comes to Schroeder Lofts

Tenth Street condominium building Schroeder Lofts is pretty much completed except for a small retail space on the corner of Erie. It seems this space will soon be The Embankment bar, lounge and restaurant. The Embankment will likely be similar to The Merchant, a Grove Street bar and restaurant by the same folks. The Embankment is one block east of neighborhood bar Hamilton Park Ale House.

We ate there last Friday night, the food was very over priced with small portions and an average portion size, the place was also empty with an erie feeling, would not go back and don't expect it to last.

My recent experience at The Embankment was quite the opposite. The food was fabulous and I look forward to returning. Portion size and price seemed about the norm for an upscale restaurant. I left with very happy tastebuds!

I my experience at the embankment was excellent on several visits. The food is delicious and the atmosphere very welcoming. The service was warm and welcoming. Nice to have a place that provides good service combined good food and a delightful enviroment.
